What we collect through this website
If you use an enquiry form, we collect what you type into it — your name, a phone number or email address, and anything you tell us about what you need. We use it to reply to you, and for nothing else. Form submissions are sent to us by email through a delivery service (Resend) and are not stored on this website.
Our web host (Cloudflare) records standard technical information about visits, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and running. We do not use it to identify you.

If you enquire and we don't end up arranging a funeral for you, we delete your enquiry within two months.
Information we hold when we arrange a funeral
Arranging a funeral means holding personal information about the person who has died and about the people arranging it: names, addresses, dates, medical certificates, and payment details. We hold it because we need it to carry out your instructions and to meet our legal obligations.
We share it only with the people who have to have it to carry out the funeral: the minister or celebrant, the crematorium (for its paperwork), the burial authority and gravedigger, and the embalmer where embalming has been requested. We don't sell or share your information for marketing, and we don't send marketing of any kind.
We keep paper funeral records for seven years, after which they are scanned and the paper is securely shredded. The electronic record of each funeral we have arranged is kept permanently. We do that because we provide a service that spans generations: it lets us answer questions from later generations about arrangements, preferences and choices made years ago, verify interments, family plots and cemetery and crematorium deeds, and meet our statutory and financial obligations for pre-paid plans and historic registers. Those records are held securely, and anything no longer needed for those purposes is deleted or anonymised. Our terms of business set this out in full.
CCTV
Both our offices have CCTV for the security of the premises and the people in them, and signage is displayed at each. Recordings are kept for 14 days and are then overwritten. They are not shared with anyone unless the police ask for them.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and in some circumstances ask us to delete it. Requests are handled by the company's directors; contact us using the details above and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
